What is content editing in Task Manager?
“Polish up text” in Task Manager helps you send a clear message, while “Organise” helps you read a long thread more quickly. “Polish up text” improves what you write. Reading modes organise what you see in other people’s messages.
“Polish up text” works in task descriptions, in messages in tasks or chats, and when editing messages. It corrects typos, spelling, grammar, punctuation and style. It uses straightforward language, without sounding bureaucratic. It doesn’t add facts or details that weren’t in the original text.
Reading modes don’t change sent messages. You can choose Original content, Polish up, Summarise or Expert. Polish up presents the same content more concisely, in the first person. Summarise condenses each message into one or two sentences. Expert presents it in a professional style and adds a separate “Expert note” line with advice, a risk to consider or a question worth asking.
What does it look like in the editor and in a thread?
You’ll find “Polish up text” under the wand with sparkles icon in the editor toolbar. After you use it, the improved version appears in place of the original. The message “Text polished - click to undo” lets you restore the previous version. The feature doesn’t send messages or save descriptions on its own.
The correction preserves the layout: bulleted and numbered lists, bold text, paragraphs, emojis, icons such as ✅ or →, and spaces in units, for example “200 ms” and “5 min”. The assistant improves the sentences within this structure. It doesn’t turn a list into a paragraph or a paragraph into a list. It leaves passages containing an inline link unchanged so the link isn’t lost. It also takes the current task or chat’s subject and description into account to keep terminology consistent.
Reading modes are enabled with the “Organise” button in the reply field for a task or chat. AI processes eight messages at a time, starting with the newest. A banner at the top of the thread shows the selected mode. The “Organise older messages (N)” button lets you load the next batch. Once a mode has been run, you can use it again in the same session without waiting. The result exists only during your session and isn’t saved. You’ll see the note “AI may make mistakes” below each processed message.
What do you gain?
You don’t need to spend extra time polishing a message written in a rush between two phone calls. You can check it before sending and switch back to your own wording if you’re not happy with the changes.
After a break, you don’t have to read a thread of forty messages from the beginning. Start by skimming the shorter versions, then go back to the original messages wherever you need to check the exact details. If you’re less familiar with the subject, an additional note can point out a risk or a question that hasn’t been asked. The decision is still yours.
When it really comes in handy
A technician describes a fault in three fragmentary sentences. They have five minutes between jobs. Before sending, they polish the text in the editor: the typos disappear, while the list of symptoms they entered remains a list. They don’t have to rewrite the whole message.
In the evening, the manager returns to the same thread to decide whether to replace a component. Dozens of messages have accumulated over three days. In Expert mode, they start with the eight most recent messages. They see them in a professional style, with an “Expert note” line, and can then load an older batch. The original messages remain unchanged. The organised version disappears when the session ends.

Does the corrected text overwrite my original?

Will others see the thread as I’ve organised it?
