What is the Task Manager mobile app?
The Task Manager mobile app is the same program your team uses on the computer, installed on an iPhone, iPad or Android phone. It gets its own icon on the home screen, opens in a separate window without an address bar, and shows notifications even when it's closed. There's no separate "mobile" version with limited features - on your phone you have your tasks, chats and files.
You won't find the app in the App Store or Google Play. You install it from your company's address, the same one you use to log in on your computer. The phone connects only to the company's server, so your data stays exactly where it is today. The app works with both licence options, Standard and Pro.
How do you install the app on iPhone and Android?
- 01
iPhone and iPad: open your company's address in Safari, log in, tap the Share icon, then "Add to Home Screen" and "Add". On iOS 16.4 and newer you can do the same in Chrome, Edge and Firefox. The installed app shows the number of unread items on its icon.
- 02
Android: the browser usually offers to install the app automatically. In Settings you'll then see an "Install app" button, or if it's not there - the ⋮ menu → "Install app" or "Add to Home screen".
- 03
Logging in: when logging in, tick "Remember me on this device". This lasts 30 days from last use, and an expired session renews in the background, so a phone left unused for a day still works without a login screen.
- 04
Notifications: in Profile → Notifications you allow notifications, turn on the "Even when the app is closed" switch and check the whole path with the "Send test" button.
What arrives on the phone?
Notifications arrive on the phone for a new task and for being added to a task, for a new chat, for a new message in a task or chat, for a task status change, for a mention (@name) and for a note or file shared with you. Also when the event was triggered by an automation, an n8n integration or an AI Agent. You can turn off each type separately in Profile → Notifications.
A further message in the same thread replaces the previous notification instead of adding a new one, so your phone doesn't vibrate at every line of a conversation. You don't get a notification for your own action, and a person mentioned in a message gets one notification, not two. The notification goes straight from your company's server to the browser gateway (Apple, Google or Mozilla). The content is encrypted with the device's key, so the gateway can't read it.
What do you gain?
You don't need to be at your desk to know that someone has assigned you an urgent task or asked about you in chat. A message from your manager reaches you during a client meeting, not in the evening when you open your laptop.
You don't install a new program or learn a second interface. On your phone you'll find the same tasks, the same conversations and the same names your team already knows from the computer. A reply sent from the phone lands in the same thread as everyone else's.
You don't hand your company's data over to yet another service. The phone connects to the same server as the computers in the office, and if you lose it, a single password change cuts it off.
An everyday example
A technician is at a client's site when the manager adds him to the task "Installation review - hall 2". His phone shows the notification "You've been added to a task". The technician opens the task, replies in the thread that he'll be there after 2pm, and changes the status after the visit. The manager gets a notification about the status change on her phone, even though Task Manager is closed.
In the evening, a technician loses his phone in the company car. On his computer, he changes his password in Profile - changing the password logs him out of all his devices and disables notifications on them.
Frequently asked questions
Do you need to download the Task Manager mobile app from the App Store or Google Play?
No. You install the app from your company's address: on iPhone via Share → "Add to Home Screen", on Android with the "Install app" button or from the browser menu. The phone connects only to your company's server.
Why don't notifications arrive on iPhone?
On iPhone and iPad, only the app added to the home screen and opened from its icon receives notifications, on iOS 16.4 or newer. Also check the "Even when the app is closed" switch in Profile → Notifications and send a test notification. If the test doesn't reach anyone in the company, the administrator can check the delivery status in Settings → Push notifications.
Does the app work without internet?
No. The app needs a connection to the company's server. When the phone loses signal, a "No internet connection" bar appears at the bottom of the screen and disappears once the connection returns.
What happens to an employee's phone after a password change or account lock?
A password change, password reset or account lock disconnects all of that person's remembered devices, along with notifications on them. A locked account receives no notifications at all.
I have Task Manager for two companies on my phone. How can I tell them apart?
Each company has its own address, so each installation is a separate app with its own icon. The administrator can give the app a name shown under the icon - up to 30 characters, in Settings → Push notifications.
