What is the To-do list in Task Manager?
The To-do list is an organised list of things to do, which every task and every chat has. You open it with the list icon in the thread bar - the first one on the left, before the paperclip. The conversation and the input field hide away, and the list appears in their place. The same icon takes you back to the conversation.
The To-do list belongs to the Pro variant. A small number on the icon shows how many items are left to do, so you can see it even before opening the list.
This is a separate space attached to the task and chat. Checkbox lists written into message content or a task description continue to work as before.
How does it work?
You add an item with the Add item button. You type a name, and underneath it an optional description, which appears in smaller, grey text. You can set a colour for the item from the same palette as in the Calendar, and assign one or more people already assigned to the task or chat. The assignment shows who's handling it and doesn't send notifications.
You tick off an item by clicking the circle. The progress bar at the top shows how many items are completed, for example “3 of 7 completed”. Headings divide the list into stages, and each heading shows how many of its items are done. You change the order by dragging with the mouse, or on a phone by holding an item and dragging it with your finger. Dragging a heading moves its whole section.
The List / Board switch changes the view. On the board, each heading becomes a column, and items become cards you move between columns. You move a whole column by grabbing its heading. View options let you hide completed items or move them to the end of the section. Deleting an item always requires confirmation.

What do you gain?
You don't have to ask the team what stage the project is at. You open the task and see what's done, what's left, and who's handling what.
Decisions from the conversation don't get lost in the thread. Steps to take go onto a list alongside the conversation, within the same task, rather than onto a separate spreadsheet or piece of paper.
Everyone works on the same list. Other people's changes appear on an open list after a few seconds, and a task observer sees the list without being able to make changes.
The AI Assistant also sees the To-do list of the task or chat you ask about. You might ask it, for example, what's still left to do or who's assigned to items from a given stage. The Assistant only reads the list - it doesn't change it.

An everyday example
An agency is preparing a new website for a client. In the task "Website project", Ola sets up a To-do list with two headings: "Content" and "Technical". For gathering the texts she assigns Magda, and for the contact form herself. The item about photos gets a blue colour and the description "Office shoot, light background".
Over the week the team ticks off item after item, and the progress bar grows. When the client asks for redirects from the old site, Ola adds a new item under "Technical" and assigns Magda. On the board she moves text-checking to the technical stage. On Friday she asks the AI Assistant what's still left to do and gets a list of open items with the people responsible.
Frequently asked questions
Is the to-do list available in the Standard variant?
No, that's a Pro variant feature. Prices for both variants are listed in the pricing, in amounts excl. VAT.
Does assigning a person send them a notification?
No. An assignment just shows who's handling the item. You can only assign people already assigned to the task or chat.
Who can change the list?
Anyone with access to the task or chat. A task observer has view-only access: they can't add, edit or tick off items.
Does the To-do list work on a phone?
Yes. You move an item by holding it briefly and dragging it with your finger.
What happens to the list when a task or chat is deleted?
The list disappears along with the task or chat. Deleting a heading doesn't delete the items under it - they join the section above.
Are list items encrypted?
Yes, when data encryption is enabled in Settings. The item's name and description are then stored in the database as ciphertext, just like message content.
