What are roles in Task Manager?

Roles determine what a user can see and do in Task Manager. A global administrator has access to everything, while a standard user can access only the Workspaces they have been granted access to. Permissions are configured separately in each Workspace, so the same person can be an administrator on one project and a standard member on another.

How does it work?

  1. 01

Create a user account and assign it to the selected Workspaces.

  2. 02

In each workspace, you set what they can do separately: add tasks, create chats or manage the workspace.

  3. 03

The global administrator can see everything and manage accounts.

  4. 04

When an employee leaves, you simply disable their account - the data stays with the company.

What do you gain?

Simplicity: a few toggles instead of a permissions matrix spread across three screens.

Project confidentiality: Client A is not visible to Client B's team.

Order after staffing changes: revoke access in one place.

An everyday example

A freelancer joins an agency for a single project. They only get access to that client's workspace - they cannot see other clients or the shared company inbox.
